Over the last 12 years The Arts Trust has conceptualized and put together a series of innovative parth breaking events which are listed below.

We have put together exhibitions for artists from India and abroad. We have also put together other large art shows and art events. We have worked with colleges & have been involved in fund raising for charities & have published brochures, catalogues and seminar papers.

A list of the events put together by us along with a brief description is given below :

Art and its producers are usually the first casualties of tranny. The destruction of Afghanistan's Buddha is the most recent example. Artists are blamed for eroding morality and are the easiest targets for political agendas, whereas artists view the devout as creativity squashing zealots.

Amid all human intellectual activities, science has been of utmost importance in the past 300 years. It overshadowed religion, denying the existence of the invisible that cannot be measured by instruments. Science has singularly been responsible for changing human perception about God. Art makes the ordinary ......... extra ordinary.

Set up in 1992 at The Oberoi Hotel (Mumbai) and followed up by two similar events at The Leela. The Masters of India Show had India's top artists participating and was a great occasion for corporate entertainment by the hotel that hosted the event.

This was one of our first thematic shows held at the Jehangir Art Gallery in October 1992. It had over 25 artists participating from all over India.

20 Artists have worked on the Theme 'A MAN AND A WOMAN' the oldest relationship known to human kind. These 20 artists are Aditya Basak, Altaf, Amitabha Banerjee, Arpita Singh, Ashok Bhowmik, Badri Narayan, Bikash Bhattacharjee, Gurcharan Singh, Jaideep Mehrotra, Jogen Chowdhury, Kanchan Das Gupta, Navjot, Pradip Maitra, Rameshwar Broota, Sanjay Bhattacharyya, Shyamal Dutta Ray, Solanki V., Suhas Roy, Vasundhara Tewari, Yusuf Arakkal. They cannot be classified as a group, nor are there any claims for stylistic unity or even similarity. If there is a unifying factor, it is common leaning towards an Indian and essentially humanistic tradition. A tradition which like the different languages we speak has in its deepest origins in an ancient culture.

A sorrowful Mystery - Jesus Christ, set up at the NGMA in 1999 was an exhibition exclusively devoted to the life of Jesus Christ. The Archbishop Ivan Dias who inaugurated the exhibition remarked that "this is not an exhibition, it is a meditation." Works of over 25 artists were on display. The NGMA witnessed a significant increase in the number of visitors during the show.

The Colaba Woods Festival of Arts is an event where the arts sculpture, music & theatre meet. This event is held in the Colaba Woods a park located at Cuffe Parade, Mumbai which attracts 2,000 visitors everyday. 10 sculptors display their works in this park for a period of 2 months. While the exhibition is on, there are performances on the weekends. This is first time in India that such an event has been organised of this magnitude and scale. The event is now in its 2nd year.

Set up in 1993, the RPG Art Camp was a precursor amongst such events now being held by other organisers as well. There is interaction between artists and students from the JJ School of Arts who are invited to spend time with the participating artists. The event is held annually in Marve at the Beach House of Mr. Harsh Goenka. The sylvan surroundings are conducive to creativity and many such art camps are now being held at various places in India. During the camp there are slide shows, discussions and talks by participating artists. The event is now in its 10th year.

Set up in association with us, is now in its 5th year. It is one of Oberoi's finest events for corporate entertainment and is attended by the Who's Who of the Mumbai city. The Oberoi derives immense mileage from this event. There is also an interaction between the press and the hotel. The event ends with a very chic Champagne Brunch hosted jointly by the Oberoi and ourselves.
