DENTAL NURSING TRAINING (NEBDN) AT LNC (UK)

Dental nursing is an essential part of the health service helping to provide a wide range of dental services and to ensure that dental patients are well cared for in a calm and friendly environment. At LNC (UK), we provide a comprehensive dental programme to help your achieve your professional career in dental nursing.

How do I become a dental nurse?

You do not need to hold a formal dental nurse qualification to start work in a dental practice or clinic. However, you will need to be registered on an approved course providing a national dental qualification.

LNC (UK) is now pleased to offer the nationally recognised NEBDN qualification in Dental Nursing to aspiring dental professionals.

The qualification combines theory and practical learning and is awarded after successful completion of the NEBDN examination and two years’ chair-side experience.

Students normally gain practical experience at the same time as their theoretical classroom study. So, with LNC (UK), you can gain the NEBDN in the shortest possible time.

  Career Prospects

Dental nursing plays a vital role in the health and dental profession today. Dental nurses provide close support and assistance to the dental surgeon in all aspects of patient care. As a dental nurse, one may work in a private practice, dental hospital or health board.

There are many opportunities for education and training, management practice and administration with the NEBDN qualification. Qualified dental nurses may also obtain further qualifications in oral health education, dental sedation nursing, and dental anaesthetic nursing and they may also train to be a dental hygienist.

Qualified dental nurses will be included on the National Register, which allows them to follow post-qualification courses including those indicated above
.
